Board your luxury coach for a sightseeing tour of Auckland, the world’s largest Polynesian city. Soak up the cityscape from Mt Eden before travelling south across the Bombay Hills. At Ngaruawahia you will travel past Taurangawaiwai - home of the Maori king. Continue through rich dairy lands stopping for lunch en route to Waitomo Caves. Experience the amazing limestone formations, the cathedral cave and stalagmites and stalactites. Then take a magical boat trip under a canopy of sparkling glow worms. Travel south through the Taupo Volcanic Zone formed 20,000 years ago and the contrasting Reporoa Valley. At Wairakei you will see the Geothermal Power Plant and visit the Huka Falls. Watch captivated as nearly 300,000 litres of water per second hurtle through the narrow chasm that makes this waterfall the most visited attraction in New Zealand. Stop at Okawa Station for an included lunch, on a Hawkes Bay and a working sheep station. Relax and refresh as you enjoy the views and taste the fresh foods, fruits, cheeses, olives, oils and of course the wine, for which this region is known. After lunch, depart to Napier, the art deco capital of the world and after a sightseeing tour of the Marine Parade and city centre, continue on through the orchards and vineyards of Hastings. Travel across mixed farmlands across the Takapau Plains and on to Woodville. Cross the Manawatu River and past the Tui Brewery at Mangatainoka, continuing on through the rich pastures of the Wairarapa Valley to Masterton. Today you will visit the Otago Peninsula headland near Dunedin. You have the opportunity to visit either Larnach Castle or Natures Wonders. Morning tea is available (own cost) at both destinations. Larnach Castle is New Zealand’s only castle and is renowned for it’s gardens of international significance. Stroll through the magnificent gardens and take a guided tour of the castle’s interior. With its exciting, sometimes scandalous and tragic history, magnificent carved ceilings, antiques and breathtaking views, Larnach Castle is one of New Zealand's most visited attractions.

Nature lovers may prefer to visit Natures Wonders, a working farm where you will get up close and personal with the wildlife that inhabit this property. The Otago Peninsula Headland is arguably the most precious wildlife habitat in New Zealand and the farm owned by the Reid family is right on the forefront of this headland. Board the Argo 8 Wheel Transport, an exciting but smooth ride that will take you to seals, penguins, nesting seabirds and spectacular views.

Time to depart and continue through the Taieri Valley and farmlands of Southland to Te Anau and your hotel. You are in the centre of town and have time to explore the country style shopping. Assemble at the Fiordland Theatre a short walk from your hotel, where you will watch the movie “Ata Whenua…The Shadowlands”, a very special short film and one which will set the scene for tomorrow.

Travel the famous road to , through huge beech forests, mountain valleys with reflective mirror lakes, through the Homer tunnel and zig–zag down the Cledau Valley to The Chasm - nature’s sculptor at work. Board the Milford Sovereign and . View Mitre Peak and search for wildlife and waterfalls, cruising out to the Tasman Sea to a rocky seal colony before returning. If the day is wet the display of falling, tumbling waterfalls abound. The Stirling Falls and the Bowen Falls when full are magnificent. An international buffet lunch is included.

Return to Milford and retrace your way back to Te Anau and continue north to Queenstown, sightseeing along the way. Continue through the spectacular Mt Aspiring National Park and the scenic Haast Pass to the West Coast. This morning you can enjoy a leisurely start to the day, or early risers can visit Lake Matheson before breakfast. After breakfast you can take an optional Glacier excursion, choose the a Fox Trail Walk, suitable for varying levels of fitness, or a helicopter ride to the top of Fox Glacier where you land on the glacier for an awesome, snow filled experience. Afterwards, travel to the old gold mining town of Hokitika and visit the Greenstone Factory and Glass Blower. Continue on to Arthur’s Pass and board the TranzAlpine Train Express, regarded as one of the great rail journeys of the world, cross over giant viaducts, dark tunnels and valleys backed by stunning mountain scenery. Follow the Waimakariri River and travel through the eastern foothills to the Canterbury Plains. Continue to Christchurch and transfer to your hotel. Tonight is New Year's Eve, so enjoy the festivities in Christchurch as you celebrate the last night of 2010!
