After lunch, re-board your coach and travel across the Rimutaka Ranges to Wellington, New Zealand’s capital city. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city including Parliament House and the Beehive. Visit Te Papa Museum, a truly amazing place and your guided tour will certainly be a highlight. You could spend all day here. Transfer to your hotel, which boasts the best views of the city and harbour from where it is a short walk to the Courtney Quarter with its many restaurants, bars and cafes.

Picton, Christchurch
After breakfast, transfer to the ferry terminal and board the Interislander Ferry. Cross Cook Strait through picturesque Queen Charlotte Sound to the small fishing village of Picton, gateway to the South Island. Disembark and board your luxury coach for the journey south. Stop for lunch (own cost) before arriving at the fishing village of Kaikoura, famous for whale watching. View the Seal Colony here and stretch your legs before continuing south to Christchurch, the garden city of New Zealand. Enjoy a city sightseeing and orientation tour before arriving at your 4 star hotel right in the middle of the city and close to restaurants, parks, trams, art galleries and museums.

Fox Glacier
Cross the alluvial Canterbury Plains toward the Southern Alps and enjoy the magnificent scenery. You have the option of travelling on the TranzAlpine Train to Arthur’s Pass (extra cost), a magnificent rail journey with open air viewing carriages providing great photo opportunities. Visit Hokitika and the Glass Blower and Greenstone Factory, before arriving at Franz Josef to visit the Alpine Adventure Centre for a screening of the short film, "Flowing West", a 20min armchair journey through the glacier country shown on the giant Helimax screen. Continue on to Fox Glacier and your hotel. You have the opporunity to take a heli-flight or walk to the terminal face of the Fox Glacier (both must be pre-booked). Enjoy dinner tonight at the Cook Saddle Restaurant.

Wanaka
If it's a fine morning, you may like to walk to Lake Matheson before breakfast or take an optional heli-ride to the glacier. Depart Fox mid-morning and travel south, crossing swamplands and river plains as you enter the "Gateway of the Haast Pass". You will see rushing rivers and tumbling waterfalls as you travel through the Mt Aspiring National Park and to the picturesque town of Wanaka. The sparkling waters of Lake Wanaka gently lap only metres from your resort rooms and the magnificent mountains provide a visual backdrop to this stunning location. Enjoy the resort facilities here, which include golf, tennis, spa, sauna and fine restaurants.

Queenstown
Travel to the alpine village of Queenstown today, a popular destination and an icon of New Zealand famous for it's adventure and adrenalin based activities. Stop at Puzzling World and be entranced by the mazes, illusions, holograms and puzzles at this amazing venue. Depart here and en-route to Cromwell, stop at a local fruit orchard for some stone fruit (own cost).

Enjoy lunch and a Cellar Door Experience at Gibbston Valley Winery, who produce some of New Zealand's finest wines and home of the best Pino Noir! Arrive in Queenstown and unwind at your hotel, or maybe embark on an optional TSS Earnslaw Cruise to Walter Peak Station (optional cost).

Milford Sound, Te Anau
Travel the famous 'road to Milford' and marvel at Mother Nature's masterpieces along the way. Stop at The Chasm for some great photo opportunities before arriving at Milford Sound. Enjoy a scenic cruise of the Milford Sound, viewing the abundant wildlife, including seals and penguins and be awestruck by the waterfalls and scenery. The Stirling Falls and Bowen Falls will take your breath away as you cruise Milford Sound out to the Tasman Sea and back again.

An International Buffet Lunch is included, a selection of hot and cold dishes and complimentary tea and coffee. Following your cruise, re-board your coach and re-trace your way along the scenic roads to the village of Te Anau.

Te Anau, Dunedin
This morning you will enjoy a short film at the Fiordland Theatre, "Ata Whenua..The Shadowlands", a special feature that will take you behind the mountains, taking your breath away! Travel east to Dunedin, the city of Scottish influences and after a Scottish Welcome at your hotel, settle in before embarking on your next adventure!

Enjoy a special tour of the Speights Heritage Brewery, where you will pour your own brew and taste the surprising by-products of this famous southern brew, including ice-cream and chocolates! After your tour, walk the short distance to the Ale House Restaurant and enjoy a specialty meal. For those that feel like a flutter, the Casino is just around the corner and they provide complimentary transfers back to your hotel.

Mt Cook
You have an ENTIRE day here at Mt Cook and with so much to see and do, you can choose to fill your day with activities or simply relax and soak up the scenery and ambience. Visit the Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine Centre, where you have unlimited access to the gallery, museum, theatre and planetarium. You may like to visit the Department of Conservation, located right next door or take a short mountain walk along one of many walking tracks. For the more adventurous, take a scenic helicopter flight or fixed wing plane flight up and over the glaciers and mountains, an awe-inspiring experience that must be pre-booked (extra cost). Or maybe a Glacier Explorer excursion, getting up close and personal with New Zealand's largest glacier, the Tasman Glacier (extra cost, Oct to April only).

Christchurch
Depart Mt Cook and the Southern Alps as you journey to Christchurch. You will stop at Lake Tekapo and The Church of the Good Shepherd, one of the most photographed landmarks in New Zealand. Cross the patchworks of the Canterbury Plains and arrive in Christchurch. You will have the opportunity to visit the International Antarctic Centre (optional cost) for a unique tour that is both educational and very interesting.
