U Drive 4WD
- 1 hour

The Mud Bugs are open air custom-designed Suzuki vehicles; so you may get wet, you may get dusty and you may get dirty; so be prepared!

• Get behind the wheel of a four wheel drive and get amongst it!
• The farm park boasts perfect conditions for off-road driving with dirt tracks, rutted hills and mud
• Test your skills in complete safety and drive a Suzuki Vitara 4WD specially designed for off road
• Take a Mud Bug over the 3 km course tackling the 12 challenges, wet and dry!

Our Spring Loaded pro guide will fit you out with all the safety gear you need and take you out to the practice area to teach you everything you need to know. The Mud Bug adventure is fully guided. A talented team member from Spring Loaded will drive their own vehicle ahead of you and talk to you via a C.B radio, to keep you on track. We can seat 4 people per vehicle with a maximum of 2 drivers per vehicle.

Change of clothes optional, safety equipment provided, vehicles are manual.

Jet Boat Ride
- 45 minutes

Combine a really fast jet boat with an amazing river scenery, throw in some 360 spins and a talented driver; and you've got the Kaituna Jet adventure. With adrenalin and action around every corner for 25 kilometres, you’ll experience about 35 minutes of thrills.

• Be prepared for a fast and furious blast back down river – 360 degree spins included!

Departs daily, every hour (on the hour) starting at 9am. Allow 45 minutes.

The Double Dare
- 1.5 hours

Jet boat along the beautiful Kaituna River then enjoy a 4WD adventure aboard Spring Loaded’s Mud Bug.

The Rush

Jet boat and white water raft the beautiful Kaituna River.

White water raft down 2 major waterfalls (one of which is a grade 5 waterfall) with a Wet n Wild Rafting adventure. Then take the 30 minute jet boat ride.

Heli Jet
- 1.5 hours

Combine a 10 minute chopper flight with a fast and furious jet boat ride for a real adrenalin rush. Built for speed and safety, our Kaituna Jet will take you on a 30-minute thrill ride designed to “blow out the cobwebs”. Be prepared for a fast and furious blast down river – 360 degree spins included! Here’s your chance to get aboard our chopper for a scenic flight high above the region and out along the magical coastline where you can see the outlying islands and the Kaimai Ranges. Spectacular!

Triple Tremble
- 4 hours

Jet boat the beautiful Kaituna River, on the Kaituna Jet, white water raft the ‘world’s highest commercially rafted waterfall’ & experience aerobatic fun as you fly in a helicopter over the cliffs, hills and lakes that surround Rotorua. X-TREME!

Requirements for Drivers

• Must have a full and current drivers license
• Must wear covered-in footwear
• Must be able to drive a manual transmission (don’t try to trick us on this one because we always find out!)

Jet Boats

• Camera equipment welcome at own risk.
• Safety equipment provided.
• Jet boating – Children 3-14 must be accompanied by an adult, children under 3 not permitted.
• Child age is 16yrs and under and half the adult price
• Minimum numbers apply.

White Water Rafting

• Please note that children must be at least 14 years old to white water raft

Also available is Spring Loaded Kiwifruit and Farm Tours: Ride aboard the Park’s truck and learn about kiwifruit, native New Zealand Kauri trees, and sheep milking! See where the sheep are milked and taste kiwifruit ice-cream or the Kiwifruit Nectar juice. Bookings for 5 or more people. Allow 45 minutes.

Kid’s Mini Farm and Kaituna River Eels: Stroke freshwater eels and hand feed the farm animals. Did you know that eels can live as long as people? The oldest eel at Spring Loaded is 65.

Kiwifruit and Farm Tour with Wine Tasting: Take the Spring Loaded Kiwifruit and Farm Tour then add a kiwifruit wine tasting to the tour. Allow 45 minutes.
